Claude
Web and desktop, on every Claude plan. Claude Free allows one custom connector.

In Claude on the web or desktop, open Customize › Connectors.

Click + Add, then Add custom connector.

Name it GeoMaster, paste the connector URL and click Continue. Keep the sign-in settings Claude detects and click Add.

Click Connect. A GeoMaster sign-in page opens on geoengine.geomaster.uk: sign in with your GeoMaster email and password and allow access.

In a chat, click +, choose Connectors and turn GeoMaster on. Then ask about your wells.
Claude Team or Enterprise

An Owner opens Organization settings › Connectors and clicks Add.

Hover over Custom, choose Web, name it GeoMaster and paste the connector URL.

Each member then opens Customize › Connectors, finds GeoMaster and clicks Connect, signing in with their own GeoMaster account.

ChatGPT
On ChatGPT web, with developer mode. Which plans include developer mode is set by OpenAI and changes; check your plan.

On ChatGPT on the web, open Settings › Apps › Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode. On Business, Enterprise and Edu, a workspace admin may need to allow it first.

Create a new app: name it GeoMaster, paste the connector URL and choose OAuth for authentication.

Sign in with your GeoMaster email and password when the GeoMaster page opens, and allow access.

In a chat, click +, choose Developer mode and select GeoMaster.

Claude Code and other MCP clients
Any client that connects to remote MCP servers over HTTP and signs in with OAuth can use the same URL. In Claude Code:

What to Ask
The connector has the same tools as GeoEngine in the app: positions, interval scores, versions, DrillTracker and imports.

The connector uses your own GeoMaster account and sees only the projects you can see.
Changes wait for you
Anything that would change your data, such as a new version or an import, is shown in the chat exactly as it will be written and waits for your approval.
Every approval recorded
Each approved change leaves a record, the same as approvals in the app.
Disconnect any time
Remove the connector in Claude or ChatGPT and its access ends straight away.

Anyone on a GeoMaster Basic, Pro or Enterprise plan. Free and trial accounts can use GeoEngine in the app; the connector is not open to them yet. On the Claude side, custom connectors are available on every plan, with one custom connector on Claude Free. On the ChatGPT side, you need a plan with developer mode on ChatGPT web.
No. Questions through the connector come out of your plan's monthly GeoEngine allowance: 500 queries on Basic, 1,500 on Pro and 5,000 on Enterprise. Your Claude or ChatGPT plan is separate.
Not without you. Every change is shown in the chat exactly as it will be written and waits for your approval, and each approval is recorded.
Files attached in the Claude or ChatGPT window are not passed on to GeoMaster. Ask GeoEngine for an upload link, upload the file to your GeoMaster Drive with it, then ask GeoEngine to import the file.
The questions you ask and the answers GeoEngine returns pass through the assistant you use, under your Claude or ChatGPT plan's data settings, so check those. GeoMaster never uses your project data to train a language model.
Any MCP client that connects to remote servers over HTTP and supports OAuth sign-in with dynamic client registration, such as Claude Code. In Claude Code, run: claude mcp add --transport http geomaster https://geoengine.geomaster.uk/mcp, then sign in from the /mcp menu.
