GeoMaster Terms of Use

Terms of Use

Last updated: 8 June 2026

1. Eligibility

GeoMaster is intended for use by professionals involved in directional drilling, geosteering, and subsurface operations. By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organisation, and that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

2. User Accounts

To access the GeoMaster platform, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your credentials up to date. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Account credentials are issued on a per-seat basis and are for your individual use only. Sharing login credentials with colleagues, contractors, or any other person is not permitted. Each user who requires access to GeoMaster must have their own account. If we detect credential sharing, we reserve the right to suspend the affected account without notice.

Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, its servers, or connected systems.
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any software intended to damage or interfere with the Service.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Resell, sublicense, or transfer access to the Service to any third party without our written consent.
  • Use the Service to store or transmit data that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Attempt to circumvent any security controls, session limits, or access restrictions built into the platform.

4. Intellectual Property

GeoMaster, GeoEngine™, and all associated software, designs, trademarks, and content are the intellectual property of Greenstone Energy Ltd. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our prior written consent. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

5. Subscription Plans and Licensing

GeoMaster is licensed on a per-seat basis. Each subscription covers a single named user. If your organisation requires multiple users, you must purchase a corresponding number of seats. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. All fees are stated in GBP and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. We reserve the right to revise pricing with at least 30 days' written notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

6. Free Trial

We offer a free trial of GeoMaster Pro features. Trial access is subject to manual review and approval — accounts are not activated automatically. We reserve the right to decline or limit trial access at our discretion. No credit card is required to apply for a trial.

At the end of the trial period, access to Pro features will end. Your account will not automatically convert to a paid subscription. If you wish to continue using Pro features, you must subscribe to a paid plan.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not issue refunds for unused time within a paid billing period. Upon cancellation, your account will remain active until the end of the period you have paid for, then revert to the free tier or be closed, depending on your preference.

8. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all well data, geological models, and other content you upload or stream into GeoMaster. By uploading data, you grant us a limited licence to process and store it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not access, use, or share your well data for any other purpose without your explicit consent.

Upon account termination or cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days to allow export. After 30 days, all project data, well logs, and GeoEngine history are permanently deleted. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

9. Security

GeoMaster employs multiple layers of security to protect your account and data. These include encrypted data storage and transmission, per-seat access controls, project presence locking to prevent simultaneous edit conflicts, active session management with the ability to terminate any session remotely, and one-time password (OTP) verification for sensitive account actions.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at [email protected].

10. Activity Log

GeoMaster maintains a detailed activity log of all significant actions performed on your account, including sign-ins, data operations, AI queries, billing events, and collaboration actions. This log is:

  • Visible to you at any time from Settings → Activity
  • Retained for 90 days on the Free plan, 1 year on Basic and Pro, and indefinitely on Enterprise
  • Not deletable by users (retained for security audit purposes under legitimate interests, UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f))
  • Exportable as a CSV file by any plan holder
  • Never shared with third parties

The activity log is provided for your transparency and security. It is also used internally to investigate security incidents and support compliance obligations.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from security vulnerabilities. GeoMaster is a decision-support tool — it does not replace the professional judgement of qualified geosteering engineers. All drilling decisions remain the sole responsibility of the user.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Greenstone Energy Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or non-productive time (NPT). Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Greenstone Energy Ltd., its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights. We reserve the right to assume exclusive control of any matter subject to indemnification, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defence.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you access the Service from outside the United Kingdom, you remain responsible for compliance with local laws.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes with at least 14 days' notice via email or a prominent notice within the platform. The updated Terms will state the revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription before the effective date.
